| Introduction | Sylvia Bartels received a Bachelor in Fine Art and Art Business and Communication from UNF, Jacksonville, FL. She was born and raised in The Netherlands and lived in Milan, Italy before settling in the United States in 1994. Sylvia currently lives in St. Augustine, Florida. Sylvia combines oil painting with acrylic techniques. She is currently defining cause-and-effect of individual growth. She also paints murals and had several showings in Florida. Sylvia writes articles on local artists and art-related topics. She is a board member of the Saint Johns Cultural Council (SJCC).
