| Introduction | This is my maiden voyage when it comes to blogging, but it seems like a marvellous way to track my thoughts as Matt (my husband) and I set out on this grand adventure in Nepal. We'll be based in Kathmandu for six months, working with MEDEP, a micro-enterprise organisation. As I've been known to spend hours harranguing my family and friends about the virtues of micro-enterprise in tackling poverty, and I've been tormenting my parents for years with my ambition to trek to Base Camp at Mt Everest, this project seems the best possible excuse to delay procreating for a little while longer. I've spent the last four years working as a journalist for CVC, an international radio station based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and also have ambitions of one day trapping a hapless newspaper readership somewhere into hearing my opinions each week by writing a newspaper column. So this blog a stepping stone! |

What a dumb question. What do colons have to do with trucks anyway? Is there some joke about bums that I'm missing?
