| Introduction | Well it has been just about a year since I started this blog and think it is about time for an update!!I I was dx with Adrenal Cushings syndrome in March of 09. Little did I know it had been what was causing just about every problem up until that point. I was lucky though because although misdiagnosed a very long time I got into a research protocol and had the best surgeon in the world take out my adrenal gland. Now two years later I have successfully weaned off my steroids (it took 23 months to be exact) but am still daily dealing with the devastating effects of this rare disease. My goal of this blog is to share bio's, research, and my personal story. As they say on the Cushing's help site sorry you think you may have this but glad you are here! If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me, I'd be happy to answer or direct you in the right direction. That is what helped me through the earlier stages...talking to fellow Cushies as we call ourselves! I hope this blog helps spread the word on this awful, often mis-diagnosed disease. |
| Interests | Ii is a well kept secret I love to learn..shhh! I love animals, photography, scrapbooking, helping others, sending snail mail out to other sick people, love kids and the elderly, love spoiling my Nana, politics, sociology, reading, flowers and my little container garden, making people feel good, tv..a lot of stuff I can't do anymore either due to not having the money or being to sick, but that doesn't mean I don't still enjoy them. |
