| Introduction | Volunteers for Animal Welfare (VAW) is a charitable, non-profit organization founded in 1974 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to prevent cruelty to animals and has earned the recognition of being a reputable, well-informed organization which is a strong and effective voice for animals throughout the state of Oklahoma. Our low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter clinic for low-income families is called the SPOT (Stop Pet Overpopulation Today) Clinic. Since opening the SPOT Clinic on February 23, 2006, we have spayed and neutered over 32,000 cats and dogs! |
