| Introduction | I was born and raised in Manchester, NH. I attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grammar School and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School, Class of 1969. In May 1973 I joined the Derry NH Fire Department and served as a fire fighter, I was promoted in 1979, becoming the first administrator of the departments ambulance service. I retired as a Captain in that division in 1993. In 1990-1992, I furthered my education attending Mt. Ida College in Newton Mass, completing my education in Funeral Service. In 1993 after retirement from the fire service, I purchased a funeral home in Somersworth, NH which I continued to own until January of 2009. In 2010 I moved to Central Florida, and now serve the Knights of Columbus as a field agent. I am married to the former Darlene Blanchard of Goffstown NH, we have been married for the past 37 years and we have one son, Matthew, living and working in NH. I am an Advanced Class Ham Operator first licensed in 1986 with the call sign of KA1LSO. |
