| Introduction | Salem Foods was originally a North End delicatessen and grocery (1960s, Salem Street, Boston MA) started by Frank Ursino. His son, Paul Ursino, went into the family business in the 1970s and at one time, the business had three separate stores. The only one that remains is the one which originally belonged to Paul, on Moody Street in Waltham, MA. The Waltham location has been under the same ownership for approximately 35 years and is the preferred choice of many in and around Waltham for quality meats, cheeses, and imported Italian groceries and items (coffee machines, etc.). |
