| Introduction | Three children, six grandchildren and a great grandson put wonder and happiness into my life, and luck has given me many friends. My wife died in 2002. Not long after my 89th birthday I was invited to live with my daughter and son-in-law, a happy arrangement. I was managing editor of The Honolulu Advertiser, director of the (National) Catholic News Service, editor of Central Florida Episcopalian, and a few more. I wrote the first book about a remarkable man, "The Spirit of Cardinal Bernardin," and was editor in chief of the American Catholic Who's Who. I'm now retired. |
