Introduction	I have been a teacher, teacher-trainer and university lecturer for over thirty years. Until recently I taught on the Open University's Children's Literature course, as well as a number of Early Years courses. I'm also a co-founder of Sounds-Write Ltd. Sounds-Write runs courses in how to teach reading and spelling for teachers, teaching assistants, parents and educational psychologists. I love north Staffordshire oatcakes and I'm a lifelong Stoke City supporter.
