| Introduction | Aristotel Spiro is a researcher at the Academy of Sciences of Albania, specializing in Albanian and Greek linguistics. Born in 1963 in Finiq, he earned his PhD at the University of Athens with a dissertation on “The Greek Dialects of the Delvina and Saranda Regions” (2000), supported by an Onassis Foundation scholarship. He has taught at the “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University of Elbasan and coordinated the Greek Language Department at the University of Tirana (2008–2016). Spiro has conducted and led numerous linguistic field expeditions across Albania and served as a research associate at the University of Athens (1996–2000). Founder of the Albanian-Greek Philological Association (1999) and editor-in-chief of Albanohellenica, he is the author of the monograph “Articles in the Albanian Language” (2021), a diachronic and synchronic study that redefines key aspects of Albanian morphology. |
