| Introduction | Welcome to my corner of the internet. I am a tenured law professor at South Texas College of Law Houston, where my teaching and research focus on Administrative Law, Law and Economics, Statutory Interpretation, and Professional Responsibility. Much of my recent scholarship explores the fascinating, often counterintuitive history and administrative frameworks surrounding firearms regulation and the Second Amendment. I have always believed that the most interesting parts of the law aren't just found in the final holdings of appellate cases—they are hidden in the economic friction, the human behavior, and the historical footnotes. On this blog, I try to uncover the "rest of the story" behind complex legal doctrines and explore the surprising mechanisms that make our institutions tick. |
