Introduction Linnea Rufo, owner and executive chef at the Bee and Thistle Inn in Old Lyme, Connecticut brings a lifelong passion to her work and more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality field. Raised in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, Linnea has worked in many of that area's grand inns. She has also owned and operated two restaurants, one an upscale downtown eatery that she designed herself, managed and for which she created all daily menus; worked in New York's Mercer Kitchen run by the world famous chef Jean Georges Vongerichten; owned, restored, decorated and ran the Inn at Brookside in Stockbridge, Massachusetts from 1996 to 2001; and been an award-winning events consultant and planner, running special events—corporate, cultural and individual—at venues across the country.
