| Introduction | As long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a writer. In college I studied journalism and started out as a crime reporter for a small local newspaper. Now I'm an editor at a trade journal in Virginia. I had my first short story published when I was 19 in All That and Then Some! My first novel debuts in April 2011. This blog is about the quest to get a novel published the old fashioned way: how to make it out of the slush pile, how to self-edit, and how to stay sane while doing it. |
