| Introduction | I'm a lifelong Episcopalian who was trained in a Roman Catholic seminary. Naturally, this means that I have Anglo-Catholic sensibilities, a high christology and very high theology of the Sacraments. I do, however, live in the dynamic tension between the biblical witness and modern society. My position is that a retreat into fundamentalism is counterproductive, while a lunge to "make the church relevant" is equally destructive. The church is supremely relevant! These are the issues most important to me. |
