Won the Kerala State Award for the best book on cinema in 2008; Special Jury Mention in 2016 and the State Award for the Best article in 2017.Won Film Critics award 4 times and ALA award for best book on cinema. Was Jury Member of Indian Panorama (Non Feature) for 53rd IFFI 2022; Juror of Malayalam films selection for IFFK 2015. Chaired the State TV writing Award committee 2017 and was Jury member in 2003, Currently Secretary of Kerala Film Critics Assn. & Padmarajan Trust.
