Introduction | I, have worked all my life, served in the army as a regular. Get fed up with people who moan all the time but will not lift one finger to improve things or even help someone. I do voluntary work and love it. I along with 4 other stroke survivors took a petition to Parliament in 1999 to get a stroke services It succeeded with the opening of ward 110 the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, but only with the help of a lot of dedicated people within the NHS, who cared and wanted what we stroke survivors desired. I worked and helped to set up stroke clubs in our area with my friends who are user/carer members, This is done without interference from the so called professional organisations. I am also a member of a few disability groups . I may be a bit of a pain to some who think they do a good job, but will not move on or change for the better. A full member of the Kingston upon Hull and East Riding Stroke Working Group from its inception! ---------------------------- ALL PICTURES COPYRIGHT OF BRIAN M ARCHIBALD.
