| Introduction | I grew up in Homer, Alaska and was raised holistically by my parents. My upbringing has lead to a lifelong interest in health and wellness. I left home and went to college in Reno, NV on a dance scholarship, where wear and tear on my body created a passion inside of me to seek something better and healthier for my body. I came to Indianapolis for graduate school and got my Masters in Public Health Policy from I.U. School of Medicine. A few years back I discovered a more in depth yoga practice, which lead me to Kripalu in Massachusetts to get my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification, which then led to my 500hr YTT and Ayurvedic Consultant certification. I decided I wanted a deeper and more clinical understanding of ayurveda and yoga so I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I attended the Ayurvedic Institute while studying under Vasant Lad and other amazing ayurvedic teachers. I am now a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayuryoga Instructor. Yoga and Ayurveda takes into consideration the body, mind and spirit, giving balance, health and happiness to the entire being...... Something I strongly believe is worth spreading! |
