Introduction	My name is Shawn Dean. In a nutshell I am a lawyer, disability consultant and advocate, super sports fan, movie buff, aspiring autobiographer, Eagle Scout, and proud uncle. In July of 1996 I sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI) in a diving accident that left me a C-6/7 incomplete quadriplegic, which means that I am paralyzed from the chest down and use a wheelchair (see my July 12th post for a detailed, first person account of the day of my accident). This blog offers personal insight into the unique and often unknown intricacies involved with living the spinal cord injury lifestyle (check out my first post dated July 11, 2009 for more details about me and this blog).
