| Introduction | I am 49, living in one of the more civilized suburbs of Houston, working toward my teacher's certification so I can make a living, or at least avoid homelessness and starvation on my way to the nursing home. Married to a retired USAF OSI computer techie, Master Sarge. I have a 27 yr. old, Sonbug, who is about the funniest and smartest person on the planet. Two stepsons, and one brand new step granddaughter. (Welcome to the world, Miss Lindsey!) Am also Mom to 4 cats and 2 beagles, all children presently FUBAR spoiled. I fantasize constantly about long leisurely days spent reading, gardening, playing in the kitchen, and creating all kinds of funky items from vintage fabric. After that, I would call a friend and have lunch, and then we would spend the rest of the afternoon scouring thrift stores and going to movies. Unfortunately, I wake up from that little dream at precisely 4:00 each morning when I get up and get ready for work, driving my school bus. And going to classes. And laundry. And dinner.
