Introduction Matt Kaufman moved to Ft. Collins in 1969 and still lives there with his family where he has been working as a commissioned artist for the past twenty years. Most of those commissioned pieces consist of portraits of families, pets, houses, show cars and show motorcycles. Matt graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art in 1991 where he was recognized twice as a Colorado Merit Scholar and was also a three time recipient of the International Merit Scholarship for outstanding work in the field of commercial art. He has been "on call" for the last 10 years with the Ft. Collins Police Dept. as their criminal sketch artist. Matt has sold several pieces of custom furniture and sculptures made from reclaimed rusty steel he finds at scrap yards. Along with his many logo designs and t-shirt designs Matt is a local favorite for his design and execution of the numurous murals he has completed. His interests are in the customizing and restoration of vintage motorcycles and cars. When he's not working on artwork for a client you can find him at his shop or in the gym, on the squash court or basketball court.
