Introduction
The first thing I look for when traveling is a pleasant place to eat. This has led me to some very nice places, and some places that leave a lot to be desired.

The best way to find good food?
Ask the locals. They know what is hot, and what is not. Keep in mind, just because you have a bad meal once, doesn't mean the establishment is bad. Maybe try something different next time. Some restaurants do some dishes better than they do others.

Ask the wait person?
Never... his or her job is to get you fed and get you out.

Ask the bartender!
If the restaurant has a bar, that is a great place to eat. The bartender wants you to stay. Besides, bartenders are the best sources for local information, also known as "the juicy gossip".
