| Introduction | I graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1989. I am an avid fan of all U of O Ducks sports teams. I was born in Santa Monica, California, then moved to Granada Hills in the San Fernando Valley where I attended elementary school. The first sport I fell in love with was baseball when I started collecting baseball cards in 1978 and the then California Angels became my first favorite team. My parents weren't much into sports, so becoming a sports fan at age 12, I feel I was a bit of a late bloomer as a sports fanatic. I had a hunger to learn more. We moved to Springfield, Oregon after I completed elementary school in California in 1978. I went to junior high/middle school and high school in Springfield. I was a Springfield Miller in high school and graduated in 1984. |
