| Introduction | My name is Mat. I was born and raised in Austin. According to the political ideology quiz I am a solid liberal, but can agree with some things from other ideologies. So far I can't say that I have any political influences, maybe John Stewart, I like what he says most of the time. My political experiences have been voting in presidential elections, but I will now be more involved in voicing my opinion as far as politics. I, like most of you, am taking this class because I have to, but am hoping to gain confidence in my knowledge of Texas politics. I have never been interested, much less, involved in politics of any kind, but since I have taken U.S government my interest in the world of politics has grown. I have realized how vital it is to be an informed citizen. Although I have an interest in politics now, I am in no way fluent in politics or comfortable yet with everything to do with politics. I hope from taking this class is to gain even more insight into how politics works. |
