Introduction	I am a 33 year old graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in the School of Social Policy and Practice. I am just a few months away from my Master of Social Work degree. Within a year, I will be starting a PhD program in Social Welfare, and possibly Criminology. My research interests are in mental health services and policy, and the intersection of mental health and criminal justice. I did my undergraduate degree at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, earning a BA in Philosophy in 2002, though I started my college career in 1992 at Penn State. Yes, I took a few years off in between. Philosophy remains my passion, and has a strong influence on my approach to social work. I was married in March of 2006. It was the best decision I ever made. My wife Hilary is an engineer. Her brain works in a completely different way than does mine, but somehow we do pretty well together. For our honeymoon, we hiked the Crazy Mountains of central Montana. I thought it was an inspired choice,but by day three Hilary was not so sure.
