| Introduction | Hello, my name is Marina Berger. My partner Jamie and I started Pottering Around realizing that we had complimentary skills that would work well together in garden design. I was born and raised in England and have gardening in my blood. I’ve always had a love of plants and nature but early on never considered a career in landscaping and instead worked in corporate jobs in New York and London. It wasn’t until Jamie, our son Alex and I moved to the U.S. and I finally had a good-sized yard of my own was able to begin immersing myself in the world of gardening. So with my own backyard laboratory I began my professional studies of landscape design and horticulture. When not working on client projects I continue to study every chance I get including attending seminars and lectures. Jamie is not from England but lived there for over a decade during which time he got to see first-hand and appreciate the national passion for all things green. Before moving to Britain he studied art at The Columbus college of Art and Design and has enjoyed a long career as an award-winning art director and graphic designer. Jamie brings his breadth of design knowledge to Pottering Around. |
