| Introduction | Hi and welcome to my blog site! I've been interested in astronomy, I have done alot of reading of sci-fi comics and enjoyed watching sci-fi movies ever since I first saw "Space:1999" and then "Star Trek" on T.V. and the "Star Wars" movie in 1970's when I was kid. Now, the movie Avatar is one of my favorite movies it is the best I have ever seen. Now I'm trying to learn more about astronomy, the universe, comets, black holes, dark energy, extrasolar planets, etc. It`s a very strange and interesting universe and there is still so much we do not know. I first noticed in the night sky the constellation of stars called "Orion," it was in the winter time when I was young. My father gave me a new telescope when I was about 12yrs old. While at the lake in the summer I have seen many beautiful starry nights. I have seen the comet Hale-Bopp in 1997, Shooting Stars, Northern Lights, Pleiades Star Cluster, Orion Nebula and the Total Eclipse of the Sun in 1979 with my family. I have seen Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. But the most beauitful thing I've ever seen in the night sky is the Milky Way. |
