| Introduction | Laura Elvebak is the author of the Niki Alexander mysteries, Less Dead, Lost Witness, and A Matter of Revenge, set in Houston and featuring an ex-cop turned counselor for a teen shelter. She also authored the sixties thriller, The Flawed Dance, set in Philadelphia in the sixties. A thriller, The Past Never Dies, is the first of a series featuring Lillian Wallace, an investigator for a defense firm, and is followed by She Said No. Her short stories are included in the Final Twist Writers anthologies: Death in Texas, A Box of Chocolates, Twisted Tales of Texas Landmarks, and Deadly Diversions. Elvebak also co-wrote a script for a 48Hour Film Project, optioned two screenplays about the 1900 Galveston storm, and co-wrote and acted in a one-act play. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters-In-Crime, The International Thriller Writers, and The Final Twist Writers Society.
