| Introduction | I started Plush Paws Animal Therapy Teams in the fall of 2010. I trained, was evaluated, and registered myself, Toby (Shetland Sheepdog), Tinker (Chocolate Lynx point Siamese mix cat) and Teddy (American Shorthair cat) as animal therapy teams with Pet Partners (formerly Delta Society) and the R.E.A.D. program in the spring of 2011. I am a stay-at-home mom who never stays at home, because I am busy volunteering my time (and that of my animal partners) in various care facilities, schools and libraries. I am currently training a Sheltie puppy, Trooper, in the hopes that he, too, will become a Plush Paws therapy dog. He shows great promise! |
