| Introduction | I am a 39 year old displaced teacher doing the stay-at-home mom gig. It is much harder than I thought while I was teaching. It has also more benefits than I ever could have imagined. What I am not getting monetarily, I am making up for by being able to do all the "extras" for my kids. The "being there" has been the best. Personally, I think that they need me now more than ever. I taught middle school for 11 years before moving to Texas and staying home with my teenage son and "tween" daughter. I have a wonderful husband and my four-legged child, Waggles. |
