| Introduction | This October I will be running my first marathon, The Marine Corps Marathon in DC, on behalf of The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Team, Momentum. Running has always been my favorite pastime, and running a marathon has always been a dream, but now I'm able to give meaning to each step I take. I'm thrilled to be training with an incredible group and raising money for muscle disease which more than 1 million Americans live with. With every step I take, I'm advancing MDA's mission to assist families with health care services and day-to-day support, fund research breakthroughs worldwide, and fight back against dozens of life-threatening muscle diseases.
