| Introduction | I am a doctoral candidate in Theatre History and Criticism . . . also a playwright and director now and again. I enjoy long walks with my dogs (preferably on the beach when I am near it), good food, and reading; right now I am smitten with Benjamin's "Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction," Deleuze's "Immanence: A Life . . ." and Agamben's THE COMING COMMUNITY (such poetic, hopeful although melancholic, and inspiring texts that almost move me to tears). On most days you you can find me watching old movies, dreaming up ways to save the world, working on my dissertation, sharing (or not) a nice (or not) bottle of wine, playing with my mac, arguing with the history channel, and complaining about deadlines. Nine times out of ten, ninety out of a hundred, nine hundred out of a thousand, and so on, I am also hanging out with Derek. |
