| Introduction | The following are excerpts from a profile published by the International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA), Malaysia, in 2007:
"..Wira Budiman graduated with honours in Law from the University of Malaya, where he was also the President of the Law Society throughout its active 2001/2002 session. He worked as an Executive Broadcast Journalist for TV3, Malaysia's most-watched television channel (then), responsible for editorial and production aspects of its English business programmes. He later joined a law firm to undergo his pupillage and was called to the Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. In 2005, he set up a consultancy firm, Wira Budiman & Associates.." "..Wira has won national-level awards in literature and theatre including winner of the Hadiah Sastera Siswa DBP for 4 consecutive years (1994 till 1997). Wira has represented Malaysia in the 2006 Asia-Pacific Youth Forum (Japan), 2000 Asian Students Convention (Korea) and the 8th World Schools Debating Championships (Australia) at the age of 16.." |
