| Introduction | A non-stock, non-profit organization to promote literacy, the love for reading and children's books in the Philippines. We head the celebration of National Children's Book Day every third Tuesday of July (established by law). We also run the Salanga Writers' Prize and the Alcala Illustrators' Prize. With the National Book Development Board, we also help to run the recently established National Children's Book Awards. |
