Introduction	I'm a college teacher with almost five years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). After studying for my master's degree in Applied Linguistics, I moved to China where I started in the teaching profession with hardly any experience. Cruel in a way, but mainly for my poor students who had to deal with my early insecurities. Luckily, I remembered the theories I learned in linguistics as well as some excellent professors who inspired me to always find new ways of presenting the information. I mainly taught writing, but also gave other courses such as Oral English, Academic English, and Western Society. After four years in the East, I decided it was time to move back West. I first found a part-time position for half a year teaching college students within an English minor. Now, I have recently started a new challenge in Rotterdam, teaching students of International Business and Languages vital skills in presenting, report writing, holding meetings, letter writing, and of course English! In this blog I will try to describe one thing that I did in my courses every week.
