| Introduction | I am a policy researcher in the Institute of Policy Studies (www.ips.org.sg). My areas of specialisation are the arts and culture and media (including the Internet). I am also interested in politics and society in general although in these areas I am closer to being an observer than researcher. I am also a playwright. My works have been staged at the Singapore Arts Festival and the Hong Kong Festival of Asian Performing Arts. I was also a Straits Times journalist and a teacher.
