Introduction | I consider myself to be a very outdoorsy person. I literally grew up running barefoot through the woods of western New York. As a boy, I spent hours in the woods and on the water with my father. I had an interest in insects from a very young age. In fact my school sent me to an entomology camp. Little did I know that this would come to be of great benefit when I learned to fly fish around 8 years old or so. After high school I joined the United States Marine Corps and served in several combat zones around the world. After getting out of the Marines I turned back to fly fishing as a source of therapy for myself. An escape from the world to let my mind calm. I began guiding around 2009 in hopes of showing others the joy and calm that is fly fishing in hopes they would get some similar experience from it. I now not only guide but also give presentations and am involved with project healing waters and enjoy getting others hooked on this sport, and obviously a lot of fish! Lance |
