Introduction	Having been a keen modeller from my youth, like most people of my generation I started with Airfix kits, and H0 gauge train sets. Over the years my interests in modelling have diversified to include Keil Kraft gliders and also model boats and yachts. My interest in narrow gauge railways started in my late teenage years, when I read a book on the Talyllyn Railway. At that time there was no readymade narrow gauge rolling stock. With this challenge I set to building both track and rolling stock for a small shelf layout. That layout has long disappeared but my interest continued.
