| Introduction | I'm Elise Ackerman, and this is my personal blog. When I first started writing about the Internet, I was pretty skeptical about the promises tech companies were making. But over the years, I've watched CPUs get faster and computer memory expand. I've seen things change in promising and troubling ways as science fiction has become real. I called this blog tekkoon, after the Hebrew belief in "tikkun," that mankind can help mend the world. I'm hoping to contribute to the conversation all of us need to have together about the future we are choosing and the role technology will play. |
