Introduction	I am a consulting Periodontist and dental surgeon practising in Mumbai. My wife, Dr. Sarita Subramaniam,also a dentist, partners me as the better (and occasionally bitter) half of Green Indians! Apart from leading this hand-to-mouth existence, we are passionate about our natural heritage, and about protecting the environment. We are also developing our organic farm at Karjat near Mumbai, wherein we have converted a barren 3 acres of land into a verdant zone. We travel to sanctuaries and National parks, and write about our experiences in various travel-related magazines.Sarita actively supports animal welfare (and is therefore kind to me),and we are distressed about the fate of stray dogs on Mumbai's streets.
