Introduction	I feel a strong affinity to the sea and must always live close by. I love animals as fellow citizens of the planet and I have a strong desire to conserve and preserve the environment and our heritage. Books, books, books - I lose myself in lands within books several times a day and my mind is more often than not drifting away in liaisons or adventures with characters that are my kindred spirits. I live with my cat companion Ophelia, who is a very dear friend of mine. We often while away hours together in my little library while I sew, listen to a podcast and she lies at my feet. I feel happy when I have needles between my fingers. My mother gave me my first sets of sewing and knitting needles when I was a tender age of 5 and I have not looked back. I like cross-stitching as a way of creating beautiful decorations for my walls. I would like to become a better sewer and knitter and at some point I would also like to crochet.
