Introduction | I grew up in Salina, Ks where I graduated from High School in 1994 and went to college at Kansas State University. KSU is located in a town called Manhattan and when I met my husband I would always refer to living in Manhattan and for quite awhile he thought I lived in Manhattan New York. I wasn't quite that much of a jet-setter then, but upon graduation from college in 1998, I did decide to move to Oak Harbor, WA. I packed up my little Nissan Sentra and drove half-way across the United States all by myself. I must of had a lot of faith, because looking back that was a bold move. While living in Oak Harbor, I met my husband's parents and found out they had a son on a mission at the time. I didn't think much about it then, but 2 years later, after I returned from serving a mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, their son became a very important person in my life. We were married in April 2002 and now have 3 amazing children. |
Interests | I love to read, I really like watching movies, I love to entertain and play games, I wish I had more time for bubble baths, I love being a Mom and playing with my kids, I really enjoy camping, being in nature, taking hikes or walks on the beach, and dancing (but only when no one's watching). |
Favorite Movies | The Sound of Music, Anne of Green Gables Series, Mulan, Runaway Bride, Finding Jane, Most Musicals, Romance Movies and Chic Flicks in General |
Favorite Music | Michael McLean is probably one of my favorite composers of all time, I like soft rock, some country, and anything that makes me want to get up and dance. |
Favorite Books | Pride and Predjudice all time favorite, I just read I am a Mother by Jane Clayson Johnson and I loved it, If you haven't read A Heart Like His by Virginia Hinkley Pearce - Read It, The Book of Mormon is definitely one of my favorites, I enjoy reading Dr. Seuss books and seem to read more children's stories right now than anything. |
