Introduction	The Viking Rugby Team was formed in March, 2008 by Jameson Smith and Coach Jared Higgs. Three of the now twenty members originally played for the local Davis Rugby team who had enough players this year from their own school to be listed as a single-school club so Jameson and his previous coach, Jared Higgs, thought it was time to form a new team in the South Davis County area. Jared was able to secure a couple of coaches, Ryan Babinsky and Coach Hills (sorry but I need to find out his firt name again) who were willing to put their time and effort into this team. Once the coaches were in place it was through hard work and perseverance and a lot of convincing that Jameson was able to put together the Viking Rugby team. As of right now its members come from Viewmont and Woods Cross high schools and they are hoping to someday break off into two rugby teams so that the rugby program within the state can grow and flourish.
