About me

Gender Female
Location United Kingdom
Introduction Scarletti has moved away from making camps in the back-garden, painting the drainpipes with mud and eating pickled onion sandwiches to playing with wool, mushing together words and creating a colourful home where her 3 Smalls can be themselves and she can escape from the cover of being a grown-up work-a-day and be herself, as peculiar as that can be.
Interests crochet, the sky, knitting, my Smalls, making, inventing, creating, dreaming, sewing, reading, being brave (in small ways!), watching my garden, walking my world.
Favorite Movies Here's a thing, you know your tv is old-fashioned when the TV inspector asks 'What's that?' Films I might turn it on for are: K-Pax, Bladerunner, A Room with a View (only the Merchant Ivory version), then maybe Amelie, Paris Je t'aime...too much of a butterfly brain though to sit still and focus on one thing.
Favorite Music Oh this is even harder: KOL, Snow Patrol, Morcheeba, INXS, Joan Armatrading, Randy Crawford, Trance, Moby, Kylie, Scissor Sisters, Lamb, Maroon 5, or anything you suggest, I don't really have a developed taste - witness aforementioned list.
Favorite Books Don't think I have a favourite book, except maybe perhaps 'Moominland Midwinter': Love Tove Jansson, her grown-up stories like 'Fair Play' and 'The Winter book', Enjoy Maya Angelou, great essays, thoughtful, highly motivational. Who else, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, actually enjoy any book that makes me think or transports me to another culture, time 'Great Expectations' and place ('Memoires of a Geisha' was pretty good at that).Importantly I don't want to hear the writer at work...urm Suzannah Dunn too - though not her Tudor books, and now adding Neil Gaiman...

If you were a cannibal, what would you wear to dinner?

Not very much I should imagine since I reckon I'd be on some tropical island. Maybe a few choice teeth would be strung into a necklace for decoration!
