IntroductionWe are ski bums and waiters. We are students and professionals bursting with extra energy for our hopeful, incremental, and symbiotic project. We are Engineers Without Borders, the MSU Bozeman chapter (EWB-MSU). Our projects are sustainable and they marry our calculating brains with humanitarian longings and responsibilities. Our group, EWB-MSU, is a self-supporting, interdisciplinary, volunteer organization. We have about 40 active members—not just engineers, though! All members, from all fields of study, unite through a love of the world and a dedication to our project; we are educated locally and active globally. Our ambitious long-term goal is to provide communities in Khwisero, Kenya, with potable water and improved sanitation.
