| Introduction | Sarah Johns Music Party is a night that brings together music, dance, spoken word, performance and visual art. The acts can stand on their own or merge together to make an ensemble or connected sequence of events with artists from different disciplines working together to create a rich, layered performance. The night serves as a space for artists to experiment and be playful and for the audiences to see feel hear something interesting and intimate. I am a musician/performance artist whose efforts are going towards making my musical performances more of a play than a gig and for the audience to feel more of a guest than a customer. Sarah Johns Music Party is also the name of my band. My other musical projects are Coolfun and Mr Beasley. |
