| Introduction | I'm a medical student in my (ugh) mid-twenties, trying to keep track of some of the naive thoughts I'm having before I get jaded like all of the attendings and residents tell me I will. This blog was mainly meant to keep some notes for myself on my clinical rotations. I'm currently finished with third year and taking a year off to do research before starting all over again in fourth year. We rotate through three main hospitals for our clinical rotations -- the Bay is actually one of the smallest ones. The other two I'm going to call the Mountain and the Forest. This was my third year schedule: July-Aug 2008: Internal Medicine at the Mountain Sept: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Sports Medicine electives Oct-mid Nov: Family Medicine at a private office Mid Nov-Dec: Psychiatry at the Mountain Jan-Feb 2009: Surgery at the Mountain March: Radiation Oncology and ENT electives April-mid May: Pediatrics at the Forest Mid May-June: OB/GYN at the Bay and Forest |
