| Introduction | Born in Columbia, Mo., February 1955, the first born of four. After having grown up mostly on my grandparent's farm, just outside Cape May, I grew restless for change. Spring of 1974,I moved to Jacksonville, FL. My family didn't know that I was running away (or trying to). This was to be my oddessy, and by God's grace, I survived! Andy began traveling, through North Carolina, since he had no desire to stay home after I left him. We stayed in touch by mail. I first met Andy in Mrs. Gravenstein's kindergarten class, but, I moved away mid-year. We met up again at our senior class ski trip in the Poconos, He remembered that I was the girl with a long pony tail. We were married in 1976. Beautiful daughter, Kristen, born in 1979, and a son, Ryan in 1994. That's right, 15 years apart. We've had plenty of ups and downs, but our love has grown and blossomed into something way beyond what I could imagine. Now, after almost 33 years of marriage, I can say with confidence, that I know what love is. Owning and opperating our Bed and Breakfast for 9 years has been challenging, yet rewarding. We've grown to love this business and one another more with every passing day! |
