| Introduction | I came to Christ in 1965. I was deeply impacted by the witness and teaching of John Wimber. John was my mentor from that time until July of 1997, and I benefited greatly from this. I have had lots and lots of highs and some severe and serious lows; the church can be a tough place. John used to say, "The church is meaner than the Mafia." Yet I find life, healing and community in the church. Through it all, I embrace her as Christ's precious bride. I try in these blogs to reflect on all of this in one way or another, hoping that others will benefit in some way. |
