| Introduction | 1808 Urban Culture Sessions. Established: 02 of June 2006 Mission The concept ‘1808 urban culture sessions’ is based on an idea to create or facilitate an already existing movement for the youth of Soweto or any other urban area, to showcase any artistic talents they may have, through the vehicle “hip-hop”. Hip-Hop has claimed a large piece of the South African entertainment pie and 1808 sessions will play a part in the growth of hip-hop in South Africa. 1808 sessions are held at Pimville Community Center, on the second Sunday of every month. |
