Occupation I was a post production sound editor and mixer. I really enjoy working on movies, but I also mix shows for television and cable. I have mixed the sound for numerous short films too.
Location Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California, United States
Introduction This year I turned 71 and I am focused on staying in shape. My wife Ruth and I have been married for 36 years and retired. For 25 years we owned Mix Magic Post Sound, which was located in Hollywood. Ruth and I have two children Dan and Sara. And I have two children from my first marriage, Robert and Theresa. We also have nine wonderful grand children and two dogs, Bebe and Harley. This is the year of the Dragon (that's me) and we plan a big vacation this year, starting with Italy.
Interests I love kite boarding and video photography and editing, traveling, walking our dogs, blogging and working out at the Belmont gym. I also enjoy helping my wife Ruth with gardening (I have a black thumb, not green) and helping around the house. My friends think I should wear a "Molly Maid" outfit when I dust.
Favorite Movies My current favorite movies are "Hugo", "Extreamely Loud", "Albert Nobbs" and "Midnight in Paris". The "Artist" was OK, as was "The Help", "War Horse" and "The Girl with the Drago Tattoo". "Puss in Boots" was cute
Favorite Music I am hooked on XM radio. I have one in our Honda CR-V and I also have a portable player. It's like a large I-Pod and you can change the music at anytime. I enjoy the music on Chrome (ch.83) and Blend (ch.25). It's mostly dance/rock to workout to. Sometimes I like Spa (ch.68). I also like to listen to N.P.R. (89.3 F.M.).
Favorite Books My reading consists of reading the L. A. Times cover to cover daily. I religiously read our Long Beach Grunion Gazette for the local slant. Then there's Kiteboarding Magazine and Mix Magazine. One for the latest kite info and one for the latest sound info.

What's the most amount of sand you've ever had in your swimming trunks?

Oh, it's the old sand in the pants question. Hmmm? One time I lost control of my kite and it dragged me across the beach on my face. I was finally able to stop and there was sand everywhere. In my hair, mouth, down my shirt and lots of it in my pants too.
