| Introduction | I am: a husband, a brother, a father of two, completely in love with my wife, constantly surprised (and often baffled!) by my kids, an architect and disgruntled poet, making less $$$ than I would like, proud of my Irish heritage, an author-to-be, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, sympathetic to environmental extremists, distrusting of any established political party, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, sure that there must be a better way, always striving to be inclusive, always wanting to learn, always trying to see the bright side, a little hard-headed (literally and figuratively), scatter-brained, passionate, a hopeless romantic, an unapologetic carnivore, quick to anger (but usually easily defused), still trying to find my way, happiest on the beach, always missing my brother, and understanding more and more that life? it's just too short. |
